CEO and Managing Attorney, CEO Lawyer
Business acumen, linguistic aptitude and a lifelong entrepreneurial spirit have helped Ali Awad (MBA ’15, J.D. ’15) build Atlanta-based CEO Lawyer, of which he’s founding attorney, into a personal injury law practice with annual revenues exceeding $20 million. Fluent in Arabic, English and Spanish — and conversational in Chinese and Portuguese — Awad attributes the extended periods he’s spent in China, Turkey, Mexico and Brazil, among others, during undergraduate and postgraduate international study opportunities to his ability to connect with people from all cultures and walks of life. He is also a published author on immigration law from his time in law school as senior editor for the Southern Journal of Policy and Justice.
Awad started his first business at age 9, launching a successful eBay store selling electronics and automotive equipment. He grew to become a custom automotive wheels expert and helped grow an area retailer into one of the largest distributors in the Southeast. In addition to being an attorney, Awad is a real estate investor and philanthropist, donating his time, resources and expertise to teach nonprofits how to more effectively use online channels to generate and increase donations.
