CEO, I Will Survive Inc.
A decorated combat veteran and honored community leader, Anisa Palmer (B.A. ’13) is the chief executive officer for the Atlanta-based I Will Survive Inc. Palmer has helped lead the nonprofit organization’s efforts to provide economic support, prevention education, and health and wellness services to those who are at a higher risk or have been affected by breast cancer since 2010. Prior to that, Palmer served in the U.S. Army as a logistics manager and paratrooper. She served two tours in Iraq and received numerous commendations and medals, including the Iron Warrior Award, Bronze Star Medal and Combat Action Badge.
In 2014, former Mayor of Atlanta Kasim Reed presented Palmer with the city’s top honor, the Phoenix Award, for her positive impact on the community through her work with I Will Survive Inc. A published author, Forbes contributor, consultant and in-demand speaker, Palmer is a Certified Nonprofit Professional who gives back to Georgia State as a featured participant in various Andrew Young School events.
