Deputy Data Modernization Program Coordinator, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
Arezoo Risman (MBA ’15) is a passionate advocate for public health and is tenured with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) since 2010. She currently serves as the Deputy Data Modernization Program Coordinator, overseeing a multimillion-dollar portfolio for the agency's most complex project management effort in history. Risman has led numerous CDC COVID-19 response communications efforts including announcements, signage, webinars and guidance documents to keep staff safe.
The certified project manager, scrum product owner, Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt and Master of Public Health degree holder is also the owner of Risman Partners LLC, a healthcare consulting group as well as a children’s book author. Risman drew from her experiences as a first-generation immigrant when she and a certified traumatologist co-authored the children’s book “Sometimes People Treat Newcomers Badly: How to Talk to Kids About Immigrants and Refugees.”
