Director of Program Development, Urban Institute
While Maggie Reeves (M.P.A. ’14) is now working to drive important research and develop data-based initiatives that help create a more inclusive, equitable and just society as director of program development for the Urban Institute in Washington, D.C., her legacy at Georgia State is ongoing and making a difference in the lives of Georgians. As the founding senior director of the Georgia Policy Labs at Georgia State, she built the organization over its first five years and led its strategy, team and operations. Her roles in creating evidence-based policies to improve Georgians’ lives have spanned positions in academia, the state executive branch and the state judicial branch. She previously served in the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies as the interim director and associate director for the Center for State and Local Finance, where she helped build a robust applied research portfolio and a successful executive education program for government CFOs.
She is a proud alumna of Georgia State’s Executive Leadership Academy for Women, an advisory board member for ATL: Advance the Lives and a national advisory board member for the University of Pennsylvania’s Actionable Intelligence for Social Policy.
