Nahomie Julien (B.A. ’13) has dedicated her career as a licensed professional social worker to uplifting and inspiring others regardless of background. A Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC-II), Certified Anger Management Specialist (CAMS-II) and Certified Domestic Violence Specialist (CDVS-II), Julien is also the founder of First Integrated Community Care Services, a nonprofit organization that tailors its care to support minorities, LGBTQ youth and homeless individuals.
A first-generation high school and college graduate, Julien credits her experiences in Georgia State’s Honors College with inspiring her passion for mental health and social work. It cultivated her understanding of how powerful receiving support can be, which inspired her desire to advocate for and empower others. Julien remains deeply involved with her alma mater by providing mentorship, personalized guidance and career counseling to social work students, serving as a judge at the GSU Undergraduate Research Conference and being actively involved in alumni events.
