Major, Atlanta Police Department
A proud Atlanta native, Maj. Ralph Woolfolk IV (M.S. ’20) serves as commander of the Violent Crime Interdiction Section of the Atlanta Police Department, which is responsible for fighting criminal street gang activity, firearms crime and narcotics-related crimes in the city of Atlanta. Prior to his promotion to major, Woolfolk ushered in a wave of new and analytics-focused processes and brought a targeted response to the city’s Special Enforcement Section.

He serves in the Atlanta Police Department’s Secure Neighborhoods Program. Woolfolk remains connected with Georgia State by providing Panthers with internship opportunities with the Atlanta Police Department, and by supporting the chair of the Criminal Justice Program in the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies.
