Medshare
Duties: Sort, identify and package medical supplies
MedShare is a 501c(3) humanitarian aid organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of people, communities, and our planet by sourcing and directly delivering surplus medical supplies and equipment to communities in need around the world. MedShare's deliveries of vital medical supplies and equipment have decreased our nation's carbon footprint and brought health, healing, and the promis of better lives to 100 countries and countless patients.

Piedmont Park
Duties: General landscaping (spreading mulch, pulling weeds, watering trees, trail maintenance, etc.)
The Piedmont Park Conservancy, a nonprofit organization, is a member and donor-funded organization working in partnership with the city of Atlanta to fulfill its mission: to enhance and preserve Piedmont Park as a vital, urban green space, and as a cultural and recreational resource that enriches the quality of life for all Atlantans. The Conservancy contributes to the Park's beautification through detail-focused landscaping, volunteer clean-up projects, and capital improvements.

Trees Atlanta
Duties: Watering, mulching and general maintenance of saplings
Founded in 1985, Trees Atlanta works to address Atlanta’s tree loss, protect its forests and create new green space. Empowered by its wonderful community of volunteers, Trees Atlanta is a nationally recognized non-profit citizens’ group that protects and improves Atlanta’s urban forest by planting, conserving and educating.

Decatur Campus Gardens
Duties: General landscaping tasks to maintain and beautify the Decatur Community Garden and Native Plant Botanical Garden
Located on the Georgia State Decatur campus, the Decatur Community Gardens feature ferns from around the world and over 4000 species of plants indigenous to the Southeast and U.S. – some rare and endangered. The mission is to educate the public about native plants and temperate ferns by providing a teaching environment. The garden grows 1,000 pounds of food each year, which is donated to students, staff and the community.

Salvation Army Red Shield Services
Duties: Volunteers will be split into groups of 10 or fewer and assigned to one of three projects: 1) Revamping bulletin boards in the education center, 2) Preparing, serving and cleaning up lunch in the kitchen, 3) General maintenance or landscaping projects
The Salvation Army Metro Atlanta Red Shield Services Emergency and Transitional Housing Facility (Red Shield Shelter) provides strategic intervention, refuge and safe lodging for homeless men, women and families with children in crisis. By discovering and overcoming the root causes of homelessness, the shelter provides programs that empower people of all ages to begin their transition to stable independence.

Salvation Army Jonesboro Corps
Duties: Deep clean of the education center (organizing, sweeping, mopping and wall washing, etc.)
The Salvation Army is an international charitable organization present in 131 countries that runs charity shops, operates shelters for the homeless and disaster relief, and humanitarian aid to developing countries.

Food Well Alliance
Duties: Weeding, mulching, turning compost, garden beautification, invasive plant removal and planting/harvesting
Food Well Alliance is a collaborative network of growers, community and city leaders working together to build thriving community gardens and urban farms.

Books for Africa
Duties: Sort and package books (no heavy lifting involved)
Books For Africa remains the largest shipper of donated text and library books to the African continent, shipping over 50 million books to all 55 countries on the African continent since 1988. Last year alone, Books For Africa shipped 3.7 million books, and 167 computers and e-readers containing nearly 300,000 digital books, to 20 African countries. More than $3.2 million was raised last year to ship these books to the students of Africa.

Jerusalem House
Duties: External beautification project at the Family Program campus. Tasks may include raking leaves, mulching, weeding and planting flowers.
Jerusalem House provides homeless and low-income individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS in Greater Atlanta with a continuum of housing options, supportive services, and educational opportunities that contribute to a resident’s overall self-sufficiency.

Historic Oakland Cemetery
Duties: General landscaping tasks such as planting, weeding and mulching
Historic Oakland Cemetery is Atlanta's oldest public park and the final resting place of many of the city's most noted citizens. Gardens, history, art, and architecture fill Oakland Cemetery. The Historic Oakland Foundation partners with the City of Atlanta to preserve, restore, enhance, and share Oakland Cemetery with the public as an important cultural resource and as an island of tranquility in the heart of the city.

Duties: Write a thank you note to healthcare workers and educators. Stationery and stamps provided. All ages

United Way & YMCA – Online Story Time
Duties: Read a favorite childhood storybook and submit a recording. All ages
