STUDENT ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

The Student Alumni Association connects students to alumni. These professional relationships allow students to expand their network and jumpstart their career, and allow alumni to leverage their experience and knowledge for students. SAA is free to join.

Pillars of the SAA

Alumni connection: Participate in unique networking experiences with alumni from various industries. Collaborate with alumni on volunteer projects.

Philanthropy: Help fundraising efforts that create scholarships for students in need.

Scholarship: Two scholarships are awarded to SAA members each fall.

Leadership: Students may apply to become lead ambassadors, who oversee SAA operations, plan events, and serve as the student voice during Alumni Association board meetings.

Scholarships

The Alumni Association offers students eleven different scholarship options, including the Alumni Legacy Scholarship.

Alumni Legacy Scholarship

Must have an immediate family member who graduated from Georgia State University. Accepting applications beginning Nov. 2024. Application deadline is Feb. 2025. Awarded annually, fall semester.

Transfer Student Scholarship

Must be or have transferred in from a two-year community college or junior college. Accepting applications beginning Nov. 2024. Application deadline is Feb. 2025. Awarded annually, fall semester.

Graduate Student Scholarship

Must be enrolled as a current graduate student at Georgia State. Accepting applications beginning Nov. 2024. Application deadline is Feb. 2025. Awarded annually, fall semester.

License to Learn Scholarship

Must be a current sophomore student enrolled at Georgia State. Accepting applications beginning Nov. 2024. Application deadline is Feb. 2025. Awarded annually, fall semester.

Scholarship for U.S. Military Veterans

For U.S. military veterans only. *Must provide DD214 form. Accepting applications beginning Nov. 2024. Application deadline is Feb. 2025. Awarded annually, fall semester.

Scholarship for Returning Students

This scholarship is for students who are returning or have returned to Georgia State, after being out of school for at least two years, to finish their Associates degree or Bachelors degree. Accepting applications beginning Nov. 2024. Application deadline is Feb. 2025. Awarded annually, fall semester.
